Privacy policy

Tukka operates Wallshot at wallshot.tukka.dev. This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit the site or play. For privacy questions, requests or complaints, email contact[at]tukka[dot]dev.
- Your nickname. The nickname you type is shown to everyone in the arena, on the scoreboard, above your player and in the kill feed. It is held in our game server's memory while you play and forgotten when you leave. Don't use your real name or anything personal.
- Playing. To run the game, our server receives your keys and where you look about 60 times a second, and works out your position, your shots, your kills and what you build. Other players see your player, your shots and your pieces. All of this lives in the server's memory only, for the round in progress; nothing about your game is saved to a database.
- Your internet address. The server uses your IP address while you're connected to allow at most 4 players from one network, so nobody can fill the arena alone. IPv6 addresses are reduced to their network prefix. It is not stored.
- Browser storage. Your browser's local storage keeps your last nickname and your mouse sensitivity and building keys, so you don't have to set them again, and a random ID for analytics. Clearing the site's data removes them.
- Analytics. Our own analytics counts visits using that random ID, the page address, the referring site, the country worked out from your IP address, and your browser, operating system and device type. These records are kept for 40 days and then deleted. The IP address itself is not stored. There are no ads and no third-party trackers.
- Service providers. The game server is hosted in France. Cloudflare delivers and protects the site and the game connection, and may process network information to do so, including in other countries. We don't sell personal information or share it for advertising. We may disclose information when the law requires it or to deal with abuse.
- Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct or delete your information, object to its use, or complain to your data protection authority. Since we keep almost nothing, there is usually nothing to hand over once you've left the arena.
- Children. Wallshot is a shooting game and isn't meant for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from them.
- Changes. We'll update this page and its date when anything here changes. This policy covers Wallshot only.
